About Us
The Practice
A veterinary practice has stood in The Square, Gillingham for over 30 years. Originally named Edwards & Jose, after its founding Partners, the practice has grown both in size and scope to meet the ever changing needs of modern veterinary care in the new millennium.
We currently employ four veterinary surgeons providing a full and comprehensive small animal only service. Our staff of qualified veterinary nurses completes our primary care team and allow us to offer you a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of veterinary medicine, surgery and preventative healthcare.
As a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Practice Standards Scheme we are regularly inspected to ensure the very highest standard of veterinary care, offering peace of mind to our clients.
Experienced and friendly reception staff are at the forefront in our group effort to provide you and your pet with a courteous, caring and high quality veterinary experience.
The Shreen
The Stour, Dorset's longest river, flows for sixty miles from the ornamental lakes at Stourhead to the Western reaches of the Solent. In its passage through Gillingham it is joined by Shreen Water close to the centre of town at Gillingham Bridge, immortalised in a painting by John Constable. The combined waters of the Stour and the Shreen flow away from Gillingham to the South West where the River Lodden joins them on the outskirts of town. The Shreen Veterinary Group takes its name from its close proximity to Shreen Water, and our practice logo represents the three rivers that converge in Gillingham.
