David Hollingsworth

I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1995 and have worked in several mixed practices in the South West dealing with a range of farm and domestic animals. I started in Gillingham as an assistant in 2001(following a 12 month stint of locum work and overseas travel) and have been here ever since. I became a partner in the business in 2005 and am now a proud director of the Shreen Vet Group Ltd. My professional interests include soft tissue surgery and camelid medicine and when not working I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, running and a good curry

Kate Knill

I graduated from the RVC, London in 2001 and then spent 4 years working at a mixed practice in Exmoor. I joined the Shreen Vets in September 2005 and now concentrate solely on small animal work. My clinical interests include soft tissue surgery and internal medicine.
Outside of work I spend most of my time horse riding or walking my Springer spaniel, Holly. I also have a keen interest in country sports and support my local pub well

Liz Hornsby

I qualified from Bristol Veterinary School in June 2010 and joined the team at Shreen Vets in July

Kate Hollingsworth

I graduated from the RVC in 1994 and, after several jobs in mixed practice, moved to Gillingham in 2001 with my husband. I spent a year working as a small animal vet in Frome before taking a 4 year career break (punctuated by the odd locum position) to start a family. I rejoined the team at the SVG in a permanent, part time position in June 2008 and am thoroughly enjoying being back at work. I have a particular interest in feline medicine and in my spare time I like to play tennis, cook and read.

Holly Bottomley

I began my veterinary nurse training in 1999 and qualified in 2001. After working for seven years in a local practice I joined the Shreen Vets in 2006 as Head Nurse.
I am interested in animal behaviour and have completed the COAPE Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour and Training. I also run puppy parties at the practice and am responsible for assessing nurses during their training.

Sharon Adams

I trained as a VN at Bicton College/Animal Hospital in Christchurch. I qualified in January 1996 and am also a qualified trainee nurse assessor.

Wendy Thompson

I started working for the old partnership of Edwards and Jose way back in September 1988, and have been with the practice ever since. I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1997 and now share my time between work and family.

Petra Dunn

I am currently a student nurse in my 2nd year of study and am due to qualify in January 2012. I started at the SVG in 2008. I have 2 rescue cats and enjoy horse riding in my spare time.

Lucy Patten

I joined the team at the SVG in August 2011 after spending 3 years working as a nursing assistant in another practice. I am currently studying for my veterinary nursing qualification. I have a rescue cat called Teddy and a fluffy, lionhead rabbit called Buggs that also found his way to me. I enjoy being outside in my wellies exploring the countryside or curling up in front of the fire with a good film.

Belinda Alderman

I work part-time in reception and have been with the practice for over 12 years. I live in Castle Cary with my husband and my cat, 'Bubba', who I acquired from the practice as a stray. She now totally rules my life! I am also a silversmith and jewellery designer, and have a small business selling my jewellery creations worldwide.

Tracey Hawkins

I joined the practice in 1993. I am the practice administrator dealing with book keeping, VAT, accounts and wages. I have 2 dogs; a 10 year old German Shepherd called Hobson and a 4 year old miniature Dachshund called Slinky.

Sue Pike

I moved here from Sussex 4 years ago and have been at the Shreen vets just over 2 years. I love dogs, especially my own two toy poodles Summer and Evie, and enjoy getting out and about with them.

Pauline Willis

I started in reception in August 2000 and, after a short break, am now back for 2 days a week. I too have benefited from the 'Stray Cat Syndrome' and am mum to Dora, a kitten born to another stray acquired through the practice. I enjoy meeting people, gardening, the beach and the company of my two gorgeous grandchildren.

Kim Christopher

I've been a receptionist for a number of years now, basically to support my flat-coat retriever Ted! He, along with a variety of handicrafts, occupies most of my spare time.

Leanne Groves

I joined the SVG in 2007 as a receptionist, but after completing an NVQ in grooming I now run 'Grooming Concepts' at the practice. I have two dogs, Murphy and Nuts, who appear in many of the website photos. In my spare time I enjoy riding my horse, Flossy, who is the same age as me!
